Job Description Summary

The Regional EMENAT &SSA Senior Engineering Manager within Steam Turbine Service Engineering Organization will lead a regional Engineering team providing regional services. The team is responsible for providing technical expertise and engineering services for Outage planning and execution, repairs and engineered flow parts within the assigned regions. Accordingly, the team supports Field Services and workshops in the execution of Service works while serving also as technical interface towards the customers. The Senior Engineering Manager shall drive operational excellence, technology innovation and standardization within the Steam Turbine Engineering community. The Senior Engineering Manager will report to the Leader of the Steam Turbine Engineering leader within the Steam Service ITR Gas Engineering Organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the regional Steam Turbine Service engineering teams to successfully provide technical expertise and engineering services for Outage planning (delivering scoping proposal and outage documentation) and execution, repairs and engineered flow parts within the assigned regions EMENAT and SSA.
• As required partner, consult and involve other technical disciplines in the Gas engineering organization
• Serve as the recognized technology leader for Steam Turbine Requisition Engineering Topics in the Fossil Services segment. Support the commercial teams as technical interface towards customers promoting our product and services.
• Drive both innovation and simplification to support development of standardized/modular products and services
• Develop and adapt strategy and footprint to provide the necessary competence and capacity to effectively support the own Steam Services business whilst securing full utilization of resources
• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical for all products
• Maintain knowledge and expertise in state-of-the-art Service offerings to ensure our products and services remain best in class
• Maintain safety of our products and fleet as a priority
• Develop/apply tools and processes for effective management of technical risks
• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Required Qualifications

• This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
• Several years of experience in project execution activities ranging from typical transactional service business to complex upgrades
• Proven competence and experience in customer negotiation and execution activities
• leadership experience, preferable in an international setup
• Able to travel regionally or globally as needed
