Job Description

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Site Merchandising to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the development of a full-funnel e-commerce experience strategy and guide teams through planning and execution. The position also requires leveraging data and insights to continually improve and optimize the digital customer experience. Applicants should have prior knowledge of core e-commerce merchandising tactics. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented team leader who is energized by the idea of building something new.  

A day on the job looks like this: 

  • Develop cohesive digital strategies for web and app platforms; mobilize teams to execute those strategies by partnering with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, E-Comm Product, Operations and Item teams 
  • Partner with merchant leaders and beyond to develop and prioritize experiences and initiatives to best drive business goals 
  • Implement and optimize site merchandising strategies that promote customer engagement, conversion and a frictionless path to purchase 
  • Work with colleagues to operationalize your vision, both within their team and across multiple partner teams 
  • Oversee and drive development of short- and long-term content strategies, partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure alignment of channel strategies 
  • Distill complex business priorities into customer-centric digital experiences 
  • Provide business context to Creative teams for asset execution, ensuring content is revenue-driving, meaningful and on brand 
  • Monitor, understand and utilize data and key metrics to optimize performance and inform long-term strategies; track and share the connection between digital experience KPIs and financial metrics 
  • Provide regular in-depth reporting and insights to partner teams and leadership, identifying performance opportunities 
  • Manage a team of direct reports and provide development, coaching, motivation, support and feedback 
  • Create an atmosphere of teamwork, collaboration, agility, attention to detail and drive 
  • Establish strong cross-functional and cross-channel partnerships across Lakeshore  
  • Influence and leverage teams across the organization to advance digital objectives 

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience 
  • 6 years of experience in site merchandising/e-commerce required; 8 years preferred 
  • 2 years of experience managing people/projects required; 3 years preferred 
  • Deep business acumen with an entrepreneurial, revenue-generating mindset   
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically  
  • Excellent understanding of e-commerce and multichannel retailing 
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and cross-functional influence, planning and execution   
  • High level of initiative and organization, with ability to navigate ambiguity, risk and changing directions 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing and developing a high-performing team  
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial and business metrics 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
