We’re in growth mode and looking to add a dynamic Manager, Revenue Accounting & Money Movement Operations, to our PayNearMe team. This position will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager, Cash and Revenue Operations.

The Manager, Revenue Accounting and Money Movement Operations, will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the organization's revenue accounting and money movement operations. The role will require extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and financial management to ensure that cash flow, accounts receivable, and revenue goals are met.

Job Description

You'll own and be responsible for:

Money Movement Operations 

  • Manage and supervise daily money movement operations to ensure operational excellence with appropriate controls, processes, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance for a team of four accountants to ensure established departmental goals and priorities are met.
  • Daily monitoring and recording of funds receipt to its settlements and disbursements to clients’ accounts.
  • Weekly reconciliation of bank to general ledger and subledgers 
  • Create processes and utilize tools to automate operations and reconciliation of money movement transactions.

Revenue Accounting & Month End Close

  • Manage customer billing data base and implement more efficient use of CRM to maintain such billing data.  
  • Manage accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and cash application.
  • Manage month end close of revenue, including reviewing journals, account reconciliation, and fluxes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues, 
  • Ensure accurate results are delivered on time for financial reporting. 

Product & System Upgrades

  • Perform discovery and ideation with the Product team to understand the goals to develop new or enhance existing functionality as it relates to our internal accounting processes and systems. 
  • Identify ways to strengthen internal controls, assist in the documentation of the close and new product procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deliver product features on time, while adapting to unforeseen events.
  • Collaborate with the QA & Engineering team to test new Product functionality.
  • Communicate Product rollouts with accounting team counterparts.

Technical Accounting 

  • Review and assess key contracts, create an implementation plan and update Revenue Memo per ASC 606
  • Collaborate with Go-To-Market product strategies to ensure performance obligations per ASC 606 are system operational.
  • Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 12 to 15+ years of experience in accounting.
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Payments, Money Movement a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Data Analytics software
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems (Sage Intacct or NetSuite).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented environment with a high degree of flexibility.

Additional Information

Location: Flexible/Remote (within the US)

Salary Range: $130,000 - 150,000
