About The Position
The Manager, Facilities Operations is responsible for the safe, environmentally responsible, cost efficient, and reliable operation of Ameren's buildings and facilities under management by the Facilities Management & Construction department ("Facilities"). This position leads multiple functions of building operations, building maintenance, and workplace planning for a campus or portfolio of buildings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of facilities professionals to ensure the reliability and safe utilization of Ameren's facilities aligned with business objectives and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of safety and zero unsafe acts by championing safety efforts, achieving safety objectives, and ensuring that safety is the top priority of every co-worker in the group.
- Ensure long-term availability of assets across facilities by identifying risks and abnormal operations. Proactively identify weaknesses in the facilities portfolio that impact reliability and implement solutions. Minimize any negative impacts to critical operations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that will streamline operations and increase value to business partners.
- Manage new construction, renovation, expansion, divestitures, critical operations, co-worker relocations, and equipment installation efforts with internal and external stakeholders in mind.
- Maximize the effectiveness of investments in facilities to increase reliability and decrease O&M cost. Includes the investments in smart building technologies and advanced analytics of operations and maintenance data.
- Maintain a productive working relationship with Local Bargaining Unit leadership, fully leverage the bargaining agreement, and participate in the grievance process as necessary.
- Act as a critical resource for other Facilities groups for updating standards, prioritizing, and executing facilities improvements, and new construction through project close out and final acceptance.
- Partner and collaborate across teams to ensure the facilities support business operations.
- Supervise maintenance and workplace programs relating to the interior and exterior building conditions and appearance of the assigned facilities.
- Prepare and maintain facilities budgets.
- Assist in the development of annual capital budgets and reforecasts. This includes contributions towards a five-year plan of maintenance, facility improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Seven or more years of experience in facilities management, contract management, accounting, real estate, continuous improvement, project management, construction, or related field required.
- Three or more years of supervisory and/or high-level team/project leadership required.
- Experience managing or supporting 24/7/365 mission critical operations/dat
