The Senior Director for High School Programs leads the vision, direction, implementation, and management of high school program initiatives, including Career Start, Degree Start, and High School Articulation. The Senior Director plans, organizes, and oversees all functions and operations of high school programs to ensure equity, access, and academic excellence. The Senior Director establishes and maintains strong relationships with departments and divisions across the College, including Students Services, Student Experience, Instructional Services, and Institutional Effectiveness. The Senior Director demonstrates leadership and management style that creates an atmosphere of collaboration, inclusion and innovation.
The college offers the possibility for alternative work arrangements such as flexplace, remote work, or flextime scheduling upon completion of training and department needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Three years of professional level progressive administrative, managerial, or supervisory experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.
- Demonstrated experience developing processes and systems for concurrent enrollment programs or developing student success initiatives in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability in working with diverse student populations.
- Demonstrated success at building relationships between organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams and manage change.
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Master’s degree in education or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience as an administrator or teacher in a K-12 setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of the laws and regulations surrounding concurrent enrollment.
- Bilingual or proficient in a language other than English.
- Experience with Banner, Navigate, Dual Enroll, Salesforce or other higher education database software.
