About the Team
The Trust Engineering team builds platforms used by all cloud engineers at Roku. These components are designed to be a cost-effective and secure platform of services that Roku engineers use globally. Our team owns the following segments:
- The Developer platform, which involves management and evolution of source control, artifacts, CI/CD, and securing cloud infrastructure
- Our Application hosting platform, which is based on Kubernetes and Istio, is designed to address scalability, multi-region hosting, multi-cloud hosting, and the nuances of deployment
- The Observability platform, which is based on Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana, is integrated with our application hosting and developer platform
- Plus, the Cloud Governance program
Our team members are innovative, collegial, collaborative, and focused on building the best-in-class platform. We foster a culture of experimentation, looking for the best idea to take the day. As a leader on this team, our Director of Trust Engineering models this behavior: If we’re not trying new things, we’re not growing. We need to grow and adapt so that Roku remains at the forefront.
