• Strategic Influence: By consulting with the leadership team to set strategic direction and operating plans, the role significantly impacts the distribution center's efficiency and competitiveness through continuous improvement projects.

• Supply Chain Optimization: By implementing and adjusting supply chain plans, managing inventory, and overseeing automation initiatives, the role optimizes supply chain efficiency, minimizing negative impacts and maximizing profitability.
• Communication and Corporate Alignment: Effective communication with various stakeholders and active participation in corporate programs ensures alignment with company values and strategic goals, fostering cooperation and adherence to professional standards

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Eight (8) years of work experience in supply chain, distribution or logistics in a private, public, government or military environment
• Five (5) years of experience specifically in project leadership or operations excellence.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience working in an Automated Distribution Center and Labor Management program.
• Certifications in CSCP, CLTD, SC Pro or APICS
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative engineering solutions to drive improvements.

Work location:  Dekalb, IL (on-site)

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
