** The SSVF Senior Trainer is charged with developing and providing statewide training and ensuring compliance of

VOAC Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) operations to ensure SSVF compliance is upheld to the

highest standards. This position will work closely with the SSVF Director of Veteran Housing Programs and Principal

Analyst to target priority projects and maintain ongoing training, monitoring and compliance of SSVF

requirements. This position will conduct a high volume of training in the SSVF offices across the state with regularly

scheduled monitoring to include follow-up on training, compliance and implementation of solutions. This position

will support Managers and Associate Directors to provide and monitor annual training requirements for statewide

SSVF staff and support in creating and maintaining training needs for the SSVF program. This position will be a

hybrid schedule with the majority of in office work occurring during trainings and meetings across the state.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develops and implements a comprehensive SSVF Training for all staff for statewide consistency and

compliance in accordance with VA and CARF standards.

· Develops and implements a comprehensive SSVF supervisor and manager training for all SSVF managers

and supervisors for statewide consistency and compliance.

· Monitors and Audits veteran files for compliance in order to identify training gaps and provide ongoing

training as needed.

· Monitors all aspects of program documentation.

· TFA Reconciliation.

· As needed, oversees client program eligibility certification and requests for temporary financial

assistance, ensuring all funder and agency requirements are met prior to payment.

· Provide interim coverage as a TFA approver for regions or offices that require approver capacity.

· Works closely with managers, supervisors and others to ensure team members are receiving appropriate

support and have a comprehensive mastery of SSVF compliance requirements.

· Gather statistical data relevant to the program as required.

· Provide training and mentorship to team members and community stakeholders regarding best practices

in relevant service models and practices.

· Performs duties in a professional manner by maintaining the confidentially of all information and by

participating effectively within and across teams.

· Participates in professional development activities to promote the development of knowledge and

experience in field-relevant best practices and standards and makes demonstrable progress towards

working in accordance with these practices and standards.

· Supports fields offices (Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, Grand Junction, Durango, Alamosa, Pueblo and

Colorado Springs) with all aspects of SSVF training and compliance with on-site visits.

· Regularly trains SSVF staff members in best practices, including but not limited to MANDT training, Motivational Interviewing, and Critical Incident Debriefing.

· Data quality support.

· Develop and execute special projects to support ongoing and newly identified compliance, reporting, auditing, and data requirements of SSVF.

· Updates policy and procedure manual for relevant SSVF changes at least every six months.

· Occasional Training and capacity building projects.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.


ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES

· With training from Senior Compliance Trainer, 90% of new staff will begin carrying a caseload after the 4th week of training.

· Within the first year, 90% of statewide audits to have complete eligibility documentation with zero findings.

· Within the first year, increase retention of new staff who are employed for more than 90 days by 10%.
