Depositary Operations Specialist, Senior Associate

<p><b><span>Who we </span><span>are </span><span>looking for</span></b><span> </span></p><p><span><span>We are looking for an Operations Specialist, who will work under </span><span>supervision</span><span> of </span><span>Manager</span><span> and be </span><span>engage</span><span> in various projects, special analysis and initiatives relating to technical aspects of the business.</span><span> You will act as a process SME </span><span>and provide technical support to Depositary Supervisor and teams to ensure all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> client service level agreements and agreed quality standards.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span><span>This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><b><span>Why this role is important to us</span></b><span> </span></p><p><span><span>Depositary </span><span>is an</span><span> EMEA specific regulatory function </span><span>with</span><span> Fiduciary duty to the end investor</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span><span>European investment funds, whether UCITS or AIF, must appoint a D</span><span>epositary </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> the UCITS and AIFM Directives. The </span><span>D</span><span>epositary </span><span>is responsible for</span><span> the safekeeping of the investment fund’s assets and therefore ensures separation of those assets from the management of the fund. In addition, the depositary is </span><span>required</span><span> to perform oversight functions and, in this way, </span><span>oversees</span><span> certain activities of the fund manager such as valuation of the fund assets and monitoring of fund cash flows.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><b><span>What you</span><span> will</span><span> </span><span>be responsible for</span></b><span> </span></p><p><span><span>As </span><span>Depositary Operations Specialist, </span><span>you will</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span> </span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Actively review and prepare Depositary tasks (all Clients)</span><span> relating to safekeeping, cash flow monitoring and oversight activities</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Liaise with clients (internal &amp; external) and supporting departments for the purpose of obtaining key inputs to service delivery, resolving errors and discrepancies.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Assists Manager in the organization of the Team and in ensuring that departmental procedures and controls are adhered to.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Identify</span><span> issues and problems in service delivery and carry out necessary corrective action. Ensure the issues log is updated and track progress.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Take responsibility for analysis and streamlining depositary controls, work with other SMEs to create a unified process flow, standardizing processes and </span><span>establishing</span><span> best practice</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Participate as technical SME in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products relating to the ongoing business transformation process.
