Our scale offers all our people great opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills and to progress their careers.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Purpose of the job</strong></p><p>To deliver a first-class service to Funds/Collective Investment Schemes. As a depositary we ensure that clients are compliant with the Alternative Investment Managers Directive (“<strong>AIFMD</strong>”) which was enacted to provide investors with an additional level of protection and assurance that the Funds they invest in:</p><ul><li>use their cash appropriately.</li><li>acquire assets which meet the investment restrictions of the Fund and verify the Funds do own the assets; and</li><li>have proper managerial policies and procedures in place to safeguard the running of the Fund.</li></ul><p>In addition, the manager will provide daily management, oversight, support, and guidance to the depositary team. The manager will be exposed to all activities including onboarding, cash monitoring, oversight, asset verification, year -end process and interaction with both the Depositary Board and the Central Bank of Ireland.</p><p><strong>Main responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>To take responsibility for being the immediate point of contact for all Ocorian depository relationships.</li><li>To monitor the cash monitoring and safe keeping functions performed by the depositary team, as well as assisting with differences and anomalies escalated by depositary team, and where necessary, discuss with the client.</li><li>Assist with the oversight function of our depository clients by assessing the risks of the AIF strategy and organisation, reviewing distributions and drawdowns in line with the constitutional documents and applicable laws, and verifying the valuation.</li><li>Generate all reports to present to the client in accordance with the service level agreement.</li><li>Undertake an annual review of the depositary procedures and checklists to ensure they are current, and where appropriate, update and provide training to junior members of staff.</li><li>Ensure any new business is taken on in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with the Ocorian new client checklists and procedures, and any additional system set up which may be required.</li><li>Assist with new business enquiries and if necessary, prepare presentations and other useful material for the business development team.</li><li>To mentor and support the depositary team; and</li><li>Escalate any issues/risks arising promptly to the Senior Manager/Depositary Directors where appropriate.</li></ul><p>#LI-AM1</p><p>#LI-Hybrid</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Ideally a minimum of 2 years management experience.</li><li>Compliance/Legal/Audit/Accountancy/Administration background.</li><li>Ideally a professional/industry qualification</li><li>Experience in a depositary role with exposure to client onboarding in the Funds Industry is preferable.</li><li>Experience using the CBI ONR and Portal Systems is desirable.</li><li>In depth knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment is essential</li><li>A competent user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Strong communication skills are required (oral, written and listening) to deal professionally with external and internal parties at all levels.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Must be able to work under pressure occasionally, prioritise workloads and plan to achieve deadlines.</li><li>Be an efficient, supportive, and effective team player.</li><li>Be a self-starter and trouble shooter to balance regulatory and commercial considerations to achieve the best outcome for the business.</li></ul><p><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>The ability to work independently.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.</li><li>Methodical and accurate approach with an eye for detail; and</li><li>Strong time management and organisational skills.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>All staff are expected to embody our core values that underpin everything that we do and that reflect the skills and behaviours we all need to be successful.
