Our BBH Cares program offers volunteer opportunities to give back to your community and help transform the lives of others.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Head of Depositary Services Ireland – Closing Date 12th January 2024</p><p></p><p>Brown Brothers Harriman Trustee Services (Ireland) Limited (“BBH TSL”) is a leading provider to investment funds in Ireland, servicing more than $450 billion in assets.</p><p></p><p>Depositary Services is one of the two services that Brown Brothers Harriman provides from Ireland today.  With responsibility for safekeeping of assets, oversight of fund compliance and a duty of care to investors, this is a service that is delivered to the highest standards of excellence.</p><p></p><p>The Head of Depositary Services is the leader of the Depositary Function in Ireland. </p><p></p><p>As the leader of this team, you will play a role as a key member of the BBH TSL Senior Management Committee and an important member of both the leadership team in Ireland and the global depositary leadership team (through the Global Trustee &amp; Depositary Forum).</p><p></p><p>Please note: This is a PCF-47 position and will require pre-approval by the Central Bank of Ireland</p><p></p><p><u>Role Responsibilities:</u></p><p></p><p>Operational Delivery</p><p>Day to day oversight of assets and portfolio compliance is a key responsibility of this role. </p><p>This includes:</p><p>1. Key Depositary Duties:</p><ul><li><p>Asset Safekeeping</p></li><li><p>Prospectus Compliance</p></li><li><p>Cash Flow Monitoring.</p></li></ul><p>2.Management of potential breaches.</p><p>3.Oversight of Delegates, most notably custodians.</p><p>4.Operational Resilience.</p><p>5.On-site Due Diligence of Administrators.</p><p></p><p>Operational Reporting</p><p>The role involves senior leadership in the preparation and delivery of reports to:</p><ul><li><p>The Board of Directors.</p></li><li><p>The Senior Management Committee</p></li><li><p>The Delegated Activities Oversight Committee.</p></li><li><p>The Global Trustee &amp; Depositary Forum.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Strategy</p><ul><li><p>Work with the CEO to set strategy for the Depositary Function on an annual basis and agree objectives in respect of the execution of that strategy.</p></li><li><p>Execution of the Company’s strategy as it relates to the operations of the Depositary Function.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Client Engagement</p><ul><li><p>The roles involves playing a senior leadership role in engagement with both prospective and current clients.</p></li><li><p>Presentation of capabilities to prospective clients.</p></li><li><p>Due diligence meetings with existing clients.</p></li><li><p>Issue management with existing clients including breaches</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Leadership / Team Development</p><p>This is a senior leadership role in a team with both regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities. </p><p>Areas of focus include:</p><ul><li><p>Team culture.</p></li><li><p>Team morale.</p></li><li><p>Employee development and training.</p></li><li><p>Succession planning.</p></li><li><p>Resource budgeting and allocation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Product Development</p><ul><li><p>This role involves membership of the Global Trustee and Depositary Team which focuses on the development of these capabilities across Brown Brothers Harriman on a global basis.</p></li><li><p>The role involves ensuring that the Firm continues to develop the capabilities of a UCITS and AIF depositary in line with client and regulatory expectations.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Industry Engagement.</p><ul><li><p>BBH TSL plays an active role in the broader industry including Irish Funds and the European Trustee and Depositary Forum.</p></li><li><p>This role involves participation in these forums where possible.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><u>Key Skills and Qualifications Required</u></p><ul><li><p>BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.</p></li><li><p>10+ years of financial services industry experience related to funds and asset management, preferably with some depositary exposure</p></li><li>
