About the Role
The Senior Principal Program Manager (P6) resides in the Program Management Office within the Student Solution Enablement organization and leads cross-functional project teams to deliver tools, communications and events to support Engagement Managers and Consultants in the deployment of Workday Student.
The primary customers for this role are Workday internal professional services teams. Cross-functional project teams may include, but are not limited to, individual contributors, managers and leaders in:
- Student Delivery and Consulting
- Student Services Sales
- Student Product Management
- Workday Corporate PMO & Delivery Enablement
- Workday Corporate Sales Enablement
- Workday Services Operations
The Sr. Principal Program Manager, develops positive relationships with all teams listed above and is responsible for the overall coordination, planning, execution and maintenance of tools, events and communications to support the Workday Professional Services Student team.
This person is responsible for projects of moderate to high complexity with leadership impact, influence and visibility.
Business analysis responsibilities are also part of the person’s position including business process definition, data analysis, and organizational change management. This person has a high attention to detail and is thorough/meticulous when developing and maintaining tools/artifacts for which they are responsible.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
- Proactively communicate and partner with teams to effectively deliver solutions
- Deliver communications to teams with positivity and energy
- Effectively handle and communicate project intent and empower teams to achieve project objectives
Project Management
- Use project management methods and standards to ensure project results meet/exceed expectations
- Lead projects with varying degrees of complexity and risk
- Work on multiple projects concurrently
- Use project management methods (e.g., waterfall, agile) and tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project)
Business Process Definition
- Provide process leadership; develop detailed knowledge and understanding of key business processes and their cross-functional impacts (especially focused in the Workday professional services area)
- Collaborate with teams to identify and document key business processes
- Use process definition methods and tools to deliver business process improvements (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
Tool Development & Maintenance
- Create and maintain artifacts/tools used on Workday customer projects across all stages
- High attention to detail when building and managing artifacts/tools
OCM (Organizational Change Management), Communications, & Training
- Plan, develop, and deliver role-based, team member training associated with project solutions
- Plan, develop, and deliver team member communications
- Assess organizational readiness for change and develop targeted action plans to empower positive change behaviors

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Workday Student experience
- 15+ year
