The Position
About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Technical Sales Specialist to join our Molecular Pathology team, focusing on clinical applications of our Molecular and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) product portfolios. You will be responsible for driving growth and securing market share for our products within clinical laboratories, specifically targeting infectious diseases and oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Objectives: Create and execute business and account plans to meet and exceed agreed sales objectives, focusing on sales growth, new accounts and customer acquisition and existing customer retention
- Continuously update product knowledge to maintain expert-level understanding.
- Provide in-depth technical consultations regarding Molecular and NGS solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers before and after sales.
- Ensure effective implementation of workflows and solutions.
- Coordinate with the Molecular Pathology team and cross-functional teams including applications, service, customer account management, and marketing teams for seamless account management and communication.
- Stay informed about market trends and advancements in molecular and genomic fields.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with customers, transforming them into long-term partnerships.
- Engage with oncologists, pathologists, and molecular scientists to build trust and relationships
- Evaluate market potential, prospect opportunities, and segment the market.
Your profile:
- Degree level education preferably in Genomics, Life Sciences, Medical, or Health Care disciplines.
- Prior sales experience is not essential but preferred, candidates should have a growth mindset.
- Collaborative approach to working
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Advanced presentation skills and detailed analytical skills
- CRM proficiency: Salesforce.com beneficial
- Proficient with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
