Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2026 Intern Systems Engineer. In this role you will perform design, development, integration, test, and qualification of mission/program specific systems for the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions Line of Business. Must be capable of working effectively within a configuration managed system development environment across all phases of the system/software development life cycle. Adherence to rigorous company and program specific development processes is required. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of analyzing complex technical issues, presenting findings/recommendations and implementing solutions.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related STEM degree

- Familiarity with systems integration testing and/or performing tests in a lab environment

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

- Knowledge of systems engineering principles

- Knowledge of capability and requirement derivation

- Experience with analysis tool development using Python, MATLAB Simulink, etc.

- Experience with coding (Java, C++, and/or shell scripts)

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
