The Opportunity

This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the Electrophysiology division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

As the Clinical Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for serving as a key contributor of the overall commercialization effort for assigned Electrophysiology products/product lines; providing guidance and support on related product development activities (defining requirements), market development activities, and collaboration with global sales/marketing teams. This position has responsibility for leading early phase product planning activities including business justification, executing and managing implementation of commercial strategies and development and execution of product commercialization plans. The incumbent in this position will be regarded as a deep technical expert related to assigned products/product lines with broad knowledge of related fields.

What You’ll Work On

  • Develops analysis around the competitive environment and clearly defines product positioning, rationalization, key issues, strategies, and target audiences for assigned product(s)/product lines.
  • Collaborates with marketing colleagues on integrated marketing business plan deliverables for assigned programs.
  • Partners with marketing colleagues to shape customer requirements for related products.
  • Engage with synergistic third-party EP companies to determine potential partnership through API-based software to existing Abbott systems
  • Works with marketing communications to support development of launch materials, product literature, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages.
  • Create infrastructure and operating procedures for assessment of innovative EP software for consideration of strategic partnership
  • Presents product and marketing plans to internal management.
  • Supports market development activities through establishment of best practices and development of tools to raise awareness of the benefits of assigned product(s)/product lines.
  • Builds strong relationships with global teams to ensure successful launch of new sites / new products (tools/SW) and collaborates to ensure launch of new sales enablement tools.
  • Works with market research to collect all limited market release survey data and shares results regularly with management.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or technology-based product
