Job Description
Role: Senior SD-WAN Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description/Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer/Architect
- 5+ years of experience working on SD-WAN platform
- Work closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams on a regular basis to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed current and future needs of the organization.
- Responsibilities will require extensive Routing/Switching and Cisco CLI experience for day to day troubleshooting high level issues.
- Provide technical expertise in SD-WAN environments from design work to maintenance activities
- SD-WAN (Viptela/Cisco preferred)
- SD-WAN configuration, troubleshooting, and design
- Hands-on experience with Wide Area Network traffic engineering tools and implementation.
- Network automation tools experience i.e. Netmiko, Ansible, Terraform, or others
- Will be required to lab and test/certify environments for distribution into production.
- Support day to day Viptela SD-WAN Operations and required tasks
- Upgrade templates from CLI to GUI
- Transition Vedge to Cedge platforms and bring over feature sets currently being used
- Responsibilities may include infrastructure architecture and design, research and development of new or expanded systems, creation of technology standards and policies, thorough analysis of user requirements and operational constraints, unit test and system integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Regularly and independently interact with business partners of varying associate and management levels to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements.
- Experience working with Infrastructure peripherals such as:
o Virtual Network Services
o Firewalls
o Cloud
o Mobile Edge Computing
o DNA Center
o DNA Spaces
o NAC / 802.11X / Cisco ISE / segmentation
o IoT
o Wireless technologies
o 5G
