YOUR ROLE

As an IT team member, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that are the foundation of the world class customer service that our customers expect and deserve – now and in the future.

As a Cloud Data Engineer your primary responsibility will be assisting with the implementation of Azure native data solutions to support business use cases. This role will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and standardizing data pipelines. You will need a blend of problem-solving and innovation skills to resolve a wide variety of technical challenges. You will need to showcase good understanding of database, ETL/ELT and cloud concepts. This role is a very engaging mix of hands-on technical work and opportunities to showcase development skills.

What you will be doing

  • Participate in design, development, and implementation of solutions for migration of on-premises data stores to cloud-based technologies in accordance with the defined cloud data architecture principles/patterns
  • Provide support for on-premises and cloud data infrastructure and data movement issues.
  • Work as part of a team to develop, document, implement, and maintain cloud-hosted data and analytics services in Azure and/or any other cloud technologies, along with effective management of code through DevOps principles.
  • Implement and maintain data security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards and regulations.
  • Work with downstream and upstream teams including onshore/offshore vendor teams.
  • Ability to quickly upskill in any additional cloud technologies as required by the business.
  • Ability to take up new challenges with respect to different technologies and provide solutions unique to each technology.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cloud development using Azure or AWS
  • Possess a solid understanding of design, development, implementation and operationalizing data management projects with cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Proven communication skill to effectively articulate with stakeholders, architects, vendors, and other technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability and natural curiosity to better understand the business context behind technical initiatives and deliver accordingly.
  • Experience in databases, data warehouses, data pipelines and ETL/ELT.
