Sr. Accounting Systems Manager

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced manager that will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's accounting processes and systems, including the related documentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and implement system enhancements and process improvements within the accounting department, including identifying areas for improvement, developing and implementing new system or process solutions, documenting new procedures, and monitoring results
• Provide training and support to accounting department staff on the use of accounting systems, software, and new processes
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate accounting systems and software with other business systems
• Analyze financial data and reporting to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
• Develop an accounting team onboarding and training manual that can be used to familiarize new hires with key systems and processes impacting all team members
• Develop a uniform template to document process and procedure info in all critical accounting workbooks used and, as needed, assist team members in drafting process and procedure documentation
• Develop and maintain a business continuity plan to include: A detailed listing of all departmental tasks and who is currently trained to perform each task, identifying team members who can be cross-trained on those tasks and building a schedule to complete cross-training activities over time, participate in cross-training to ensure accuracy and completeness of written process and procedure documents and identify areas of future improvement and organize and maintain a training video archive of cross-training activities that can be used for future training

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, internal audit, or related systems and project functions
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP system functionality 
• Experience with system implementations or enhancements, process improvement and project management
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in NetSuite preferred
