About the department
Self-serve is responsible for the Self serve (PLG) Go-to-Market motion for 5M+ Cloudflare customers across all product categories such as Application Services, Cloudlfare One and Developer Platform and all Plans such as Free, Pro, Business & Enterprise. We work to grow the business by understanding our customers’ needs at every stage of their journey from Awareness to Activation to Expansion and Retention.
What you'll do
Our Self Serve Operations Team supports the overall Self-Serve team across 4 areas:
- Generating the data to understand our customers
- Deriving insights using this data to help make key decisions that help our customers
- Architecting and managing the tools and technology to create a seamless customer experience
- Running our quarterly and annual planning process
We are looking for a seasoned operations leader with expertise in data, analytics, and tools. In this role you will be responsible for all four areas with a focus on deriving insights and architecting/managing our tools and technology.
Responsibilities
- Help to build a data and insights engine
- Become an expert in our data and systems. You should be able to get the underlying data for all of our customers & products.
- Generate insights and recommendations for how we should drive growth in those businesses.
- Understand key company and Go To Market team objectives. Use this understanding to prioritize the many programs being run by the teams we support.
- In some cases you will be responsible for the execution of key programs. You will need to build strong relationships with our GTM leaders and drive those programs to completion.
- In other cases you will be responsible for delegating this work and providing coaching to our analyst team to ensure the program is seen through to completion.
- In order to do this effectively, you will build an analyst program that attracts high potential team members. You will hire, inspire, and coach this team to the next phase of their career at Cloudflare.
Who you are
- Minimum of 10 years of analytics, operations, and/or data science experience, ideally in B2C companies.
- Minimum of 5 years of management and coaching experience.
- Strong analytical skills, ideally including proficiency in SQL and Tableau
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, write queries, and work with large quantities of data.
- Experience with and point of view on best practices for a PLG technology stack
- Experience driving long term cross-functional projects and thriving as the “glue person”. This means you are exceptional at understanding complex problems and designing solutions.
- Just as importantly, you are able to mobilize a cross-functional team to execute the solution.
- You are highly motivated to make Cloudflare and your team successful.
- Demonstrative executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer facing experience is a plus!
Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
- For Colorado-based hires and Washington hires: Estimated annual salary of $141,000 - $173,000.
- For New York City-based and California (excluding Bay Area): Estimated annual salary of $176,000 - $215,000.
- For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $185,000 - $226
