Job Summary

Avantor is looking for an experienced and dedicated Global Manager Engineering Single Use to lead a distributed team of engineers with positions in Asia, North America and Europe. In this role you will report directly to the Director Global Engineering. Additionally, you will handle single use and NON GMP projects and production and will be responsible for the development of approval drawings, NON GMP Production and prototypes for the single-use systems business.  This includes ensuring the assembly will meet the performance criteria required by the customer.  This position will work closely with account managers, customer service, production and quality & regulatory.

What we’re looking for  

Education: Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Operational Technology or similar field and/or combination of education and experience

Experience: 5-8 years experience in a technical engineering or manufacturing related position; 3 years leadership experience 

• Experience in AutoCAD or similar engineering software (Solidworks, etc.)
• Experience in industrial automation

• Digital literacy and good understanding of MS Office
• Ability to communicate verbally and written in English and Dutch.  Additional languages preferred.

• Lead, train and coach a team of global design engineers.
• Support commercial teams in driving the single use and systems portfolio.
• Support the single use systems team in driving single use into systems platform.
• Development of both basic and highly technical approval drawings and product specifications based on sketches or descriptions from account managers or customers.
• Own and maintain our L1 Library in partnership with product management.
• Maintain engineering documents including a library of all subcomponents with appropriate data.
• Lead the engineering release process for single use manufacturing.
• Lead large NON GMP projects for general and systems development.
• Implement and maintain global engineering key performance indicators (critical metric) to ensure continued customer satisfaction and achievement of company goals
