About the role:

As a Senior Product Designer at Samsara, you will ship designs that our customers use every day to run their operations. We’re looking for someone who is excited to shape the daily experience of those customers across industries such as transportation and logistics, construction, food and beverage, government and more. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success to identify customer needs, explore design solutions, and deliver value. You will also engage directly with customers and leverage their feedback throughout your process. You will be expected to influence strategy and ship well-crafted designs that make our customers’ operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable. 

This is a remote position open to candidates based in the US.

In this role, you will: 

• Lead large, ambiguous projects and ship high-impact designs that unlock significant customer and business value.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution.
• Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform the strategy.
• Influence the design team through mentorship and shape our culture.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

• 8+ years experience designing web & mobile applications.
• Expertise in interaction and visual design.
• Figma fluency (including prototyping).
• Portfolio showcasing your craft and ability to solve user-problems with quantified impact.

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
