Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco Bay Area or New York.

About the Role:
LinkedIn is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking VP of Global Benefits to lead the strategic design, execution, and oversight of innovative global benefits programs for our ~18,000 employees across 23 countries. This key leadership role will drive a competitive advantage for LinkedIn by delivering an exceptional employee experience through personalized benefits, impactful wellness programs, and unique perks that attract top talent and enhance employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of global benefits trends, who can anticipate the future of work and keep LinkedIn at the forefront of employee wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy Development
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, global benefits team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership, aligning benefits programs with business goals to enhance talent acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of benefit programs (health, wellness, perks) that create value, with a focus on scalability and market competitiveness.
  • Leverage employee feedback, data insights, and benchmarking to continuously optimize LinkedIn’s global benefits offerings, ensuring they remain competitive and cost effective.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Safeguard compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements across multiple regions, mitigating risk and ensuring adherence to privacy protocols while minimizing bureaucracy.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, benefit plan administration, and risk management, driving cost-effective solutions while ensuring service excellence and continuous value.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner closely with LinkedIn's Global Talent Organization (HR), Legal, Communications, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure that benefits strategies are integrated with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and ambassador for LinkedIn’s benefits offerings, effectively communicating their value to employees, leadership, and external audiences.
  • Champion benefits as a key driver of employee satisfaction, engagement, and overall wellbeing, while continuously advocating for enhancements to LinkedIn’s offerings.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in global benefits management.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive benefits strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in the tech industry benefits trends, wellness programs, and cutting-edge perks that appeal to a global workforce a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences, from employees to senior leadership.
  • A proven track record of building relationships, managing complex global environments, and earning leadership sponsorship for strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of benefits regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Expertise in negotiating large-scale vendor contracts and driving competitive pricing.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing long-term vision with operational excellence.
  • A passion for creating exceptional employee experiences and a deep commitment to supporting employee wellbeing.
