Position Specific Description

Sourcing Manager

• Leads a team of Sourcing Specialists, coaching and directing the team to improve upon the key supply chain objectives of innovation, quality, risk, speed, and cost
• Maintains relationships with assigned business units, to facilitate understanding of business and supply chain requirements
• Forecasts projected sourcing requirements and manages the pipeline of assigned sourcing activity, to ensure adequate resources are applied
• Oversees the management of the supplier base, ensuring new sources of supply are being continually developed and that ongoing supplier performance is being monitored
• Increases efficiency by continually improving the sourcing process, driving standardization of common items and eliminating waste
• Develops and implements metrics and indicators to assigned responsibilities, to measure and monitor level of performance
• Provides leadership in the development of department personnel, and assumes budget responsibility, as assigned
• Interacts with assigned operating business units, legal experts, and other Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) personnel
• Makes key decisions and/or recommendations concerning sourcing strategy, negotiation strategy, contract awards, and supplier management
• Interacts externally with the supplier community and industry analysts
• Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal and environmental regulations

 

Supply Chain Operations Strategy

• Assist in developing and communicating strategy for the ISC Operations team
• Research, design, and recommend supply chain strategies in the sourcing area to reduce cost, increase innovation, improve quality, reduce risk, and increase speed
• Provide strategic and analytic input into the digital tools the group uses to manage the business
• Use analytical tools to identify areas of improvement, work with the team to help design processes, reports, and KPIs to achieve business unit and company goals
• Provide support to the Vice President of ISC Operations to produce decks communicating business unit goals, asks, and successes
• Sit on lead team of Integrated Supply Chain Operations
• Reports to Senior Director of Sourcing, Dotted Line to Vice President of Supply Chain Operations in Strategy Role
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Job Overview

Employees in this role oversee large and complex special projects. Individuals assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine and acquire resources as needed.

• Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project
• Drives contract development with, and commercial negotiation on, large deals

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 10+ years
• Leadership Experience: 2+ years
