JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Change Coordinator  to oversee and manage the IT change management process for the Data Network Team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all IT changes are planned, evaluated, authorized, implemented, and reviewed with minimal risk and disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) members to facilitate efficient and controlled change processes aligned with ITIL best practices.

 

JOB Duties

  • Oversee the IT change management lifecycle, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assess and classify change requests (normal, emergency, standard changes) based on impact, risk, and urgency.
  • Ensure all changes are thoroughly documented, tested, and reviewed before implementation.
  • Maintain change records and ensure compliance with audit and governance requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT change management across the Data Network Team.
  • Coordinate with IT teams, project managers, and business units to schedule and communicate change activities.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring key stakeholders are informed and engaged in decision-making.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on change status, risks, and impacts to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct impact assessments to identify potential risks associated with IT changes.
  • Develop rollback and contingency plans to minimize business disruptions in case of failed changes.
  • Ensure that change conflicts are identified and mitigated before implementation.
  • Continuously improve the IT change management framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess change outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Research assigned portions of a project, documents source(s) and works with relevant stakeholders inside and outside of department to ensure relevancy.
    • Performs quality control analysis to ensure accuracy and rationale. 
    • Provide administrative support for Management team. 
    • Coordinate, plan and schedule maintenance and software modifications through facilitating the IT Change Management Process for the Data Network Team. 
    • Conduct business and analytical studies to integrate business needs into system-wide development plans. 
    • Support the Data Network department by completing contract requests for Blanket Contract orders.  This includes inputting Contract Requisitions, merging contracts and sending for customer and internal signatures.  Returning executed blanket contracts to customer for work to be performed. 
    • Perform contract management activities per established system policies and procedures related to setting up new contracts, maintain existing contracts including contract ceiling management, review, and processing of contractor/vendor invoices for accounts payable requirements, and or material receiving as required for purchases and administering contract releases as requested by management for approval of work. 
    • During major storm events, support the Data Network Team.  
    • Process vendor payments for CPC related purchases including reconciling the CPC purchases per the system policy requirements. 
    • Lead O&M Projects for the Data Network Team.
