Job Summary:
The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3, Hematology & Urinalysis. The successful candidate will:
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Hematology and Chemistry Laboratories.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry. Specific familiarization with variant equipment.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of quality control, maintenance and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instrumentation.
Required Qualifications:
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or eligible for licensure.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent college credits in Medical Technology or Biological Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASCP certification.
- 2 years of experience in Hematology/Chemistry.
Work Schedule:
Variable Days; Variable Hours (Hourly/Per Diem)
Salary Grade/Rank:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
