The Penn Neurogenetics Therapy Center within the Department of Neurology is seeking a detail-oriented, service focused Administrative Coordinator. The Administrative Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting the Center's daily operations, providing support to the Center Director as well as Center activities. They will be responsible for the Directors calendar, travel & expense reimbursements, administrative documents such as Other Support, biosketch, CV/FEDS updates and assistance with manuscript submissions. In support of the Center, they will be expected to arrange and track regular meetings, events and symposia, assist Center staff with travel arrangements to scientific meetings and reimbursement requests, ensure office supply and track purchase orders, maintain equipment and track service contracts and assist with onboard of new Center staff.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Center Director: Includes coordinating calendar, scheduling travel, expense reimbursements, assistance with document maintenance like Other Support and Biosketch, assistance with manuscript submission and publications
- Coordinate Center meetings (internal and external) and events including symposia and educational opportunities.
- Assist Center staff with travel and expense bookings and reimbursements; track Center funding allotted to individuals annually
- Main point of contact for purchase orders and supply requests, equipment maintenance and repairs, facilities requests. Tracking as needed for Center.
- Assistance with onboarding of new staff
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Grad/GE Degree, and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is require
