About the role

YOUR ROLE:
As the Manager of DC Operations, you are responsible for managing, coaching and training a team of supervisors to meet established productivity requirements. Your goal is to ensure your team maintains the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement. Daily responsibilities will include priority setting, maintaining work standards, and implementing methods to enhance workflow by identifying issues and expediting solutions. You will be empowered to innovate new approaches to current processes to create more efficiency. Most importantly, you will create a positive work environment through real-time coaching and feedback.
 

This role will work a Monday through Friday schedule covering the Evening Shift from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM with direct reports on both Front Half and Back Half shifts.

  • Weekday Evening 4:00 pm - 2:00 am (Sunday - Wednesday)
  • Weekend Evening 4:00 pm - 2:00 am (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)



 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations in a fast paced, e-commerce distribution environment 
  • Maintain a motivating and positive leadership presence
  • Foster a safety first culture through awareness, training, and accountability
  • Collaborate with the Director of DC Operations and DC Supervisors on productivity planning, operations and staffing needs
  • Identify objectives and coach supervisors in reaching their group productivity goals
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day problems and identify long-term resolutions
  • Research operational inefficiencies and make procedural or systematic recommendations to Director of DC Operations
  • Guide Supervisors in prioritizing daily work and staffing needs to meet production goals
  • Partner with the Human Resource Department to facilitate reviews, interviews, hiring, terminations, and corrective counseling
  • Provide Supervisors with meaningful developmental opportunities through effective coaching and feedback
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility through labor and supply cost control
  • Promote positive team morale through effective communication and recognition

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply chain or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years previous management experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • PC skills including Google suite and Kronos Time-keeping Software Solutions and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Good reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Schedule flexibility, including nights and weekends 
  • Ability to step in and support other departments as needed

PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
