The Opportunity:

Warnings about cyber threats are everywhere and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies and mission owners. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you – as a security control assessor you will perform all duties necessary to ensure the safety of information systems and protect systems from intentional or inadvertent impacts to the cybersecurity posture.

As a security control assessor on our team, you will work with project managers, IT security leads, network engineers, and information assurance professionals to review and assess cybersecurity controls, standards, and procedures. You’ll support the thorough review of security features for key systems and recommend the integration and implementation of cybersecurity solutions for enterprise systems, operational technology, cloud platforms, and mission systems. You Have:   

• Experience conducting NIST 800-53 security control assessments
• Knowledge of industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology (IT) security assessment, monitoring, detection, and remediation tools and procedures using standards-based concepts and capabilities
• Ability to determine how a security system should work, including its resilience and dependability capabilities
• Ability to work independently and within a large group of engineers and cybersecurity professionals
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience with various operations systems such as Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing reports, presenting, and interfacing with customers
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS or IT Engineering
• Cybersecurity Certification, including CISSP, GCIA, CEH, GCIH, GCFA, or CSIH Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
