As a Data Product Owner, you will the complete product lifecycle of all products of the data analytics team, from initial customer/stakeholder interviews (both in person and remote), explore options, create product vision and roadmap, sell them to potential pilot customers, internal management, and other stakeholders, and be actively involved in the day-to-day development and maintenance of these products, by creating and maintaining tickets and reports, OKRs and roll-out plans. You will be involved in shaping the data infrastructure of the company, including ELTs/ETLs, machine learning services, as well as reporting tools like Tableau and custom web applications. You will spearhead product discovery in the data and ML environment, harnessing our extensive data sources in the automotive aftersales space – and execute on the plans created. 

The role is mostly on-site in Munich (Germany), with options for home office for some weekdays.

More specifically, you will:

• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including car dealerships, manufacturers, account management, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, establishing effective feedback loops for rapid learning and iteration 
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business impact 
• Identify and tap into relevant data sources, driving the creation of high business value 
• Promote the team's and company's achievements, connecting with users to gather feedback 
• Drive product strategy with innovative ideas, market knowledge, and thorough analysis 
• Earn trust, motivate, and support team members to achieve success 

Who you are and what you bring:

• Fluent in written and spoken German and English (both C1 level)
• An EU citizenship, an EU residence permit, or a valid EU work visa 
• Proven experience as a Product Owner for a data analytics or BI team in a data-driven company 
• Proficient in exploring and assessing large data sets using query languages such as Mongo QL, SQL, or the Python programming language, with a solid understanding of statistics, data lakes, and data warehouses 
• Skilled in writing clear, concise, and well-structured user stories and epics in Jira 
• Business acumen, confident negotiator, team player, and effective communicator with excellent presentation skills 
• Ambitious, curious, proactive, and driven to find pragmatic and sustainable solutions in complex markets 
• Knowledgeable about EU data privacy regulations; experience in automotive sales or design thinking is a plus
