Senior Manager SAP Master Data

As the Senior Manager of SAP Master Data, you'll be at the forefront of supporting enterprise-wide business processes, projects, integration, and analytics. Dive into a role where your expertise in SAP Master Data Management will drive impactful change and innovation!</p><p>Accountabilities:<br/>Master Data Management:<br/>- Create, maintain, and validate Material Master data, BoMs &amp; other PP master data across SAP platform<br/>- Lead engineering change documentation, support ECR processes and Quality Change Control processes<br/>- Define the data assets &amp; standards within the enterprise function  <br/>- Assess &amp; action change requests from various business functions in line with standards<br/>- Provide data stewardship as a service to the relevant functions</p><p>Data Quality Monitoring &amp; Continuous Improvement:<br/>- Analyze, monitor, and improve master data quality, resolving discrepancies, and proactively identifying data-related issues<br/>- Use RCA and lean approaches to drive sustainable solutions<br/>- Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations, improve data quality performance with master data KPIs and metrics</p><p>Stakeholder Collaboration &amp; Change Management:<br/>- Partner across Alexion Operations with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Commercial, Regulatory, etc.) to support master data requirements and understand cross-functional impacts<br/>- Advise on optimal BoM structures and master data governance aligned with ERP capabilities and <span>manufacturing/assembly</span> industry standards and requirements<br/>- Participate in data migration, system &amp; integration projects, ensuring adherence to data standards or identifying changes required and assessment of the cross-functional impacts to these changes</p><p>Compliance, Governance &amp; Policy Enforcement:<br/>- Implement and champion data governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures for SAP master data<br/>- Maintain clear documentation of product data, changes &amp; governance processes<br/>- Ensure all master data processes comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, GxP), and SOPs and WI are kept up to date</p><p>Training &amp; Support:<br/>- Mentor junior team members, deliver training on MDM practices, and support end-users in data-related queries and issue resolution</p><p>Essential Skills/Experience:<br/>- 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management in SAP ECC / S4 Material Master and SAP PP master data objects maintenance and governance, preferably in a life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.<br/>- Confirmed experience in BoM creation, Material Master Data management, and ERP/SAP/PLM systems.<br/>- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management or related field preferable.<br/>- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling.<br/>- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address potential issues promptly.<br/>- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.<br/>- Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOX, GxP) is an advantage.<br/>- Ability to decipher and coordinate large amounts of data and drive insights that enable better decisions.<br/>- Adaptability to a fast-paced and changing environment and ability to handle multiple initiatives where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist.<br/>- Ability to influence, build positive relationships with business partners at all levels throughout the organization.<br/>- Strong team management and motivation skills.</p><p>Desirable Skills/Experience:<br/>- Previous involvement in ERP/SAP/PLM system implementations and/or data migration project.<br/>- Experience of data management in SAP MDG or equivalent platform.<br/>- Background in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.<br/>- Experience in integration of SAP master data with other systems (e.g. MES, APS).</p><p>When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
