SUMMARY
This role is one of three portfolio-focused GEO leadership positions within the Global Evidence & Outcomes organization and reports directly to the Vice President, Head of Global Evidence & Outcomes, Global Clinical Development, R&D. As a member of the GEO Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping evidence and value demonstration strategies across Lundbeck's Neuro-Rare portfolio.
The Senior Director & GEO Lead serves as the primary GEO representative and strategic partner to cross-functional asset teams, ensuring that GEO expertise and capabilities are effectively leveraged to address key evidence needs throughout the product lifecycle.
As the voice of GEO within the asset team, the GEO Lead brings together expertise from Real-World Evidence & Epidemiology, Patient-Centred Outcomes, and GEO Analytics, to identify and deliver fit-for-purpose evidence solutions that support development decisions, regulatory interactions, differentiation and value demonstration.
A key component of the role is serving as a strategic partner to US Medical Affairs leadership for Neuro-Rare assets and a trusted bridge between Global and US organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the primary GEO representative and strategic evidence partner for assigned Neuro-Rare assets.
- Foster collaboration, alignment, accountability, and execution excellence within GEO matrix Asset teams across RWE & Epidemiology, Patient-Centred Outcomes, and GEO Analytics.
- Representing GEO within cross-functional asset teams, governance forums, and portfolio discussions.
- Partner with global cross-functional asset teams (Therapeutic Areas/Experimental Medicine, Regulatory Strategy, Medical Safety, Medical Affairs, Global Value and Patient Access, Commercial Neuro-Rare) and US Medical Affairs to support regulatory decision-making and evidence generation strategies.
- Serve as the primary GEO partner to US Medical Affairs leadership and act as a bridge between Global and US organizations.
- Serve as a member of the GEO Leadership Team and contribute to GEO leadership initiatives supporting the evolution of GEO as a strategic enterprise function.

- Represent Lundbeck externally at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and expert forums.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH, MSc or equivalent) in HEOR, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research, Psychometrics, Statistics, or related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or consulting industries.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing evidence strategies supporting product development, regulatory interactions, value demonstration, and commercialization.
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders across Global and US organizations.
- Strong understanding of current and evolving Regulatory and Payer/HTA environments in key markets (US & EU preferred - China & Japan are a plus)
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with strong cultural awareness (including matrix leadership skills).
- Strategic thinking and ability to lead without direct authority in a matrix environment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Experience supporting rare diseases and/or specialty care products.
TRAVEL:
- Willingness/Ability to travel domestically to US internal events and congresses (4-6 times a year). Regular international travel expected to Copenhagen, Denmark (6-8 times a year).
