Title: Sales Manager
Location: Buena Park, California
Type: Full-Time Onsite
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (based on experience)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager (BUM), and dedicated to a business unit team, the Sales Manager is a highly-visible, developmental role responsible for the oversight and management of the customer. The Sales Manager works in collaboration with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and the BUM to oversees the customer’s account to ensure contractual compliance while safeguarding Leach’s profitability and operational efficiency. The Sales Manager is heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the business unit through all aspects of the business and critical to support pricing and new business activity. They act as a key liaison between the customer and the team. The scope of this position includes: developing and maintaining customer relationships, regular sales and booking analysis, supporting the BUM in establishing the yearly business plan, overseeing activities to ensure customer service and price objectives are met, contract negotiation and other business-related activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the customer’s account and relationship
- Required to be onsite to collaborate with Business Unit Manager and departments in meeting contractual commitments, production schedules and in resolving problems
- Support the target to achieve bookings, sales, and profit objectives
- Supports the sales team in new business strategies and business case developments.
- Supports initiatives to continuously improve the team responsiveness to customer/business needs, including but not limited to, quality and on-time product
- Work with and provide guidance to the CSRs assigned to the customer
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Develop and approve cost estimates and price quotations to ensure value pricing is optimized for each market segment
- Executes the Business Unit strategy resulting in year over year growth
- Monitor, contest, and improve customer account scorecard data
- Perform detailed quantitative analysis of sales and bookings data and prepares regular (monthly, quarterly, and annual) reports and forecasts on current and future performance of the product line for management
- Assist the BUM in collecting and analyzing data to create the annual business plan
- As a member of the sales organization, works as part of the team to address all product line issues including production, engineering, delivery, sales, and quality

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited university or college
- Technical bachelor degree preferred but not required, MBA is be
