About the role
Key Responsibilities General Customer Service
- Greet visitors and assist with appointment check-ins and scheduling using Google Calendar and "Book An Appointment" tools.
- Respond to inquiries related to student accounts and financial aid in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Direct students, faculty, and staff to appropriate offices as needed.
- Monitor weekly communications and checklists to stay informed about departmental priorities and projects.
- Assist with document management: scan, link, proof, purge, and check in documents using systems like PowerFAIDS, SIS, and ImageNow.
- Other related tasks as necessary
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash advances and credit payouts.
- Prepare scholarship checks for posting.
- Understand and interpret student financial statements, including debits and credits.
- Provide information on financial aid policies, procedures, and application processes.
- Assist students with understanding their financial aid packages and requirements.
- Manage and organize financial aid documents, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with FERPA.
- Support the financial aid team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial aid and student account policies and procedures.
- Respect for confidential information and adherence to FERPA regulations.
