Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking full-time Site Clinical Director to join our team supporting the Church Ave and Bedford Ave site.
Diagnosis and treatment of patients in their specialty area; provides clinical assistance to nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants; participation in planning and developing health care services in their specialties, treatment of conditions and illnesses within the scope of the physician’s specialty, referral and follow-up of patients when indicated, participation in after hours coverage to insure 24-hour availability of care for Center patients. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards. Leads quality improvement projects at the site level.
Full Time
Annualized Salary Range: $154,876.80 - $162,385.60
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Site Clinical Director:
- Provides supervision for clinical activities of Medical providers and medical documentation in their department, including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage, follow-up procedures.
- Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRH patients outside the Health Center.
- Adheres to standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within their specialty; participates in the development of programs to carry out these standards.
- Maintains appropriate documentation of medical records.
- Participates and attends provider meetings
- Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards.
- Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of their specialty following evidence based standard of care.
- Provides off hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so.
- Contributes to the accomplishment of organizational and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Develops department/team and individual work schedules, approves time off and completes time records
- Knows, communicates and applies SRH policies and agency regulations
- Manages according to budget and requests and utilizes organizational resources effectively
- Supervises staff by providing training, coaching and performance management including timely performance appraisals
- One day at the Bedford Avenue location and four days at the Church Avenue location
Minimum Education Requirement: Master's Degree
Minimum Licensure: Board Certification, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Demonstrated competence in procedures appropriate to specialty
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
