We are looking for a new Senior Program Manager Continental Europe (CE). You will report to the Vice President Agriculture CE and are accountable for leading our Regenerative Agriculture Journey, implementing our strategic road map, driving execution of the various building blocks, and building partnerships to ensure we meet our targets and timelines.

 

As Senior Program Manager Regenerative Agriculture, you oversee driving our regenerative agenda to support our Planet Friendly vision in Continental Europe.  

You will develop and implement the agriculture strategy regarding regenerative agriculture to meet our commitment of Regenerative agricultural practices across 100 % of McCain potato acres by 2030.  You will contribute to the development of a long-term partnership with McCain's 1,500 farmer partners by accompanying them with agricultural practices that will enable them to meet the climatic and economic challenges.

 

Strategies:

• You develop the Regenerative Agriculture implementation strategy across countries (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland) with the support of local Agriculture Managers & Agronomists.
• You design & lead programs to structure regenerative agriculture initiatives.
• You develop partnerships and leverage collective action like multi-stakeholder coalition to advance regenerative agriculture.
• You design opportunities for agriculture project financing and fund raising.
• You design & coordinate clear brand connection & external communication.

 

Execution:

• You coordinate implementation of the initiatives by keeping close contact with local teams and relevant external stakeholders.
• You manage projects to accelerate regenerative agriculture transition to ensure that projects are profitable, and initiatives are commercially viable.
• You find innovative solutions to finance agricultural transition including public funding.
• You evaluate & monitor the cost of production and return of investment for growers engaged in regenerative agriculture.
• You act as the ambassador and spokesperson, taking the lead on stakeholder engagement internally & externally.
• You manage reporting on the regenerative agriculture roadmap.

 

Internal communication:

• You maintain a high level of interactions with peers and teams of the Agriculture Leadership Team (Agronomy, procurement, finance).
• You facilitate meetings, and trainings to familiarize colleagues outside Agriculture department with regenerative agriculture.
• You interact with business leaders to valorize brand & drive competitive advantage through our regenerative agriculture approach.

 

External communication:

• You represent McCain with diverse stakeholders (suppliers, growers’ suppliers, partners of the crop rotation, and partners)
• You support McCain interests with coalitions or financial aspects of the research funding.
• You support local procurement teams to communicate towards our growers.

 

Who are you?

You are passionate about agriculture and planet friendly practices, and drive, engage, and provide strong leadership to the team.

• You have a very strong scientific background in Agronomy, Agricultural economics, environmental sciences, or other related fields.
• You are fluent in English, and ideally in other local languages.
• You have at least 5-10 years of experience in Agriculture or Sustainability project management
• You have rigorous data analysis capabilities and a strong financial acumen.
• You possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• You have strong leadership & excellent stakeholder management skills.
