We are currently seeking an experienced Software Project Manager II to join our growing team. This person will collaborate with the current team to manage and improve our Product, Operations, and Development Support (PODS) team. You will work with our engineers and outside DevOps contractors to support various tools, users, and existing software systems that facilitate the distribution of incentives for clean energy technologies reporting systems. You will bring technical expertise and a team-oriented approach to handle various tasks to maintain systems that meet our clients' needs, the programs we support, and our Information Systems department.
To ensure success you should be proficient in creating and managing project plans, timelines, and operational support, have strong research and communication skills, and the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. This position will report to Senior Director of IS Operations.
Persons filling this position can choose to work from our offices for a hybrid work environment in Oakland, CA, Orange, CA, Portland, Boston or New York City. We will also consider remote candidates in other parts of the United States as well.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create and manage project plans and timelines, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs
- Reporting of results and plans as part of the Portfolio
- Collaborate with client teams and technical staff to support custom software systems
- Coordinate with our software development teams and DevOps to support our development environments
- Manage IS infrastructure projects as the company grows
- Compile documentation of program development and subsequent revisions
- Assisting our IT Security and Compliance Officer with the annual SOC 2 audit tasks and documentation
- Respond to support tasks with timely solutions
- Manage software work tickets: gathering information and seek clarity of the request, prioritizing tasks, assigning tickets and following-up on completion of deliverables
- Supporting the contracts process for the IS department sub-contractors
- Developing and managing systems to support invoicing, expenses, and other operational tasks
- Provide support, direction, and guidance to team members
- Self-manage time and work under minimal guidance
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in the software or technical industry with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Science or technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, preferred.
- Software design experience (such as business and functional requirements, user interface/human factors, software design processes)
- Experience with Jira Software and other Atlassian products, or similar
- Strong multitasking, documentation, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience collaborating directly with other staff such as engineers and software project managers
- Familiarity/experience with Monday.com and SharePoint a plus
- Familiarity with AWS DevOps engineering a plus
- Familiarity with implementing and supporting CI/CD a plus
- Familiarity/experience with content management systems such as WordPress a plus
- Experience with contract management a plus
- Experience with SOC 2 a plus
- Familiarity with software project portfolio management a plus
- Energy efficiency/renewable energy domain experience a plus
Salary DOE: $90,000 to $125,000/Annually
