Job Description
Responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of environmental requirements including plant, corporate, local, state, and federal regulations. Environmental programs include stormwater, wastewater, waste management and air permitting. Maintain environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and ISO14001 management systems requirements. Provide technical assistance with various plant staff functions. Main focus of this job will be environmental topics, but will also assist with safety functions as needed.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Maintain environmental related policies/procedures for the plant and drive continuous improvement
- Develop environmental related communications including training, safety alerts,
- Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with EPA and SC DHEC requirements
- Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all environmental requirements
- Assist/lead change management tasks and conduct machine release inspections based on environmental topics, such as air permitting and waste management
- Assist safety and environmental audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bosch Norms
- Lead/take part in Incident Investigation facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventative actions, as it relates to environmental topics
- Participate in plant emergency response teams
- Change Management, conduct formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes
- Auditing and maintaining internal processes
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years environmental experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- 5+ years of MS Office experience to include Excel and Word
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering, Sciences, Occupational Safety, Environmental, or other related field
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
- Environmental permitting knowledge
- Knowledge of ancillary industry sectors such as Hydrogen Production-, Fuel Cell Production is a plus
