Summary

This position is responsible for applying tax laws, regulations and accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely tax returns and tax provisions, process tax payments, and ensure appropriate adherence to corporate accounting policies and related internal controls. While this position’s focus is on sales and local taxes, the senior tax accountant may have to work on other matters.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities and Job Duties

• Coordinate with advisor to prepare sales and use tax returns and unclaimed property

• Prepare business license, property tax and similar state and local returns

• Assist with the preparation quarterly and annual global tax provisions using OneSource Tax Provision software

• Assist with the Preparation of U.S., and state tax returns using OneSource Income Tax software

• Research and document findings related to U.S. federal and state tax issues

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 3+ years of tax provision and / or tax compliance experience in a public company or large

accounting firm setting.

• B.S. Degree in Accounting required;

* Preference may be given to candidates with CPA’s or CPA candidates with part passed or other advance degrees

• Experience with data mining in ERP system with experience with SAP a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Avalara
• Experience with property, sales and use taxes
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Qualities that would be a plus:
• OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision software experience
• Experience with SAP
• Manufacturing Industry Experience
