Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for all aspects of the company procurement process from strategic planning and execution of a sourcing strategy through the management of supplier relationships to support attainment of enterprise objectives and goals.  Responsible for building close relationships with all business/functions executives and leaders across categories of spend. Oversees the development of sourcing strategies, industry and supplier research, bidding, supplier selection and contract negotiations.  Oversee ancillary income program and seeks new revenue opportunities for the company.  Help promote efficient and effective procurement practices and processes using continuous improvement methodologies.   This position is responsible for generating value through cost savings and continuous improvement of the operations.   

Essential Job Function

1. Develop, transform and institutionalize the strategic sourcing process across Brookfield Multifamily Management operations. Oversight of contracting process and execution of agreements.  (15%)

2. Manage procurement team and track category performance in terms of savings and expense management, Own and manage certain spend categories, contracts and projects. (15%)

3. Responsible for providing business with spend savings analysis across categories for forecasts and budgeting purposes (10%)

4. Builds relationships with key business leaders to facilitate the communication of major sourcing projects, including resolution of conflicts, project goals, actions and results (15%)

5. Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and service providers that lead to optimal total quality, cost and service. Determine supplier performance measurements and enforce quality metrics through supplier management process. (15%)

6. Conduct spend, market and supplier analysis, and benchmarking/cost modeling; execute commodity sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFI’s and RFP’s. (10%)

7. Ensures appropriate support to portfolio acquisitions to quickly onboard service programs and establish contracts for seamless transition. (10%)

8. Oversight of ancillary income program and new produces development (10%)

Education

Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in Business required

Work Experience

10+ Years of strategic sourcing experience and supplier management
