The roleWe are seeking a talented Senior User Experience Designer, to join our Oracle NetSuite team in the vibrant city of Barcelona. As a key member of the Templates team, you will leverage your UX expertise to innovate and ensure coherent product experiences. Your focus will be on our design system, creating best-in-class templates that utilize our components and modules to build extraordinary experiences for our product teams and customers.
Working closely with the Templates team Senior Design Manager, you will play a crucial role not only in discovery, but also product design and some UI design tasks. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of product managers, UX designers, researchers, content designers, and engineers, you will craft exceptional template experiences.
As an expert in our award-winning Redwood design system, you will ensure that its principles are well understood and implemented across the product. You will be part of a cross-organizational team that continuously evolves our design system, collaborating with various product development teams within Oracle NetSuite globally.
What You’ll Do- Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to produce innovative design solutions.
- Stay up to date and enhance our design system to maintain consistency and efficiency across products.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including product managers, software engineers, content designers and researchers, in a dynamic and cross-functional environment.
- Stay up-to date with our Redwood Design System to ensure visual consistency and efficiency across our range of template
- Create high-quality UX artefacts to support both problem-solving and solution-finding during the discovery process.
- Produce wireframe designs, high fidelity prototypes and interfaces in Figma to clearly communicate your vision to stakeholders.
- Document design specifications for engineering implementation and monitor the UX quality during feature development and after release.
- Become a key contributor to our Redwood Design system, advocating for best practices and ensuring its integration into design solutions.
- Present design options and effectively articulate your design choices and trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Embrace an iterative mindset, always seeking feedback to refine and improve your designs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing and adapting to changing requirements.
- Collaborate in design reviews and contribute constructive feedback to team members' work.
Qualifications/Skills
- A degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is also considered.
- 3-5 years of industry experience in a similar UI/UX design role, preferably in software product development.
- Proficiency in Figma is essential, with advanced skills in prototyping and design specification creation.
- Demonstrated expertise in design and user-centered processes, being able to showcase a deep understanding of user needs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to receive and integrate feedback constructively and iterate designs accordingly.
- Balance design aesthetics with functionality and usability, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- An impressive online portfolio that showcases your design process, case studies and highlights your ability to create user-centered solutions.
- A positive, resilient attitude with a growth mindset. You actively seek feedback and are always looking to improve.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with ERP, “big data" companies, or design systems is a big plus.
- Previous experience in front-end development (HTML and CSS), accessibility, web standards is highly desirable, but not required.
