About the role

The Legal Practice Specialist, Texas serves as a Texas litigation-practice subject-matter resource across sales, product, operations and customer support. The role is designed for an experienced Texas litigation paralegal or legal assistant moving into legal technology, and sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, product, and operations, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The incumbent trains and supports the sales team, serves as the voice of the Texas customer in product and workflow development, grounds new products (including AI-powered tools) in real-world practice, liaises with courts on procedural requirements, and provides practitioner and market insight to support leadership's growth planning in Texas.
This is not a fee-earning role and does not involve providing legal advice to customers or the public.

Compensation:
The salary range for this exempt position is $85,000–$100,000 annually. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, qualifications, internal equity, and the company’s compensation philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Account Enablement
    • Create and deliver Texas practice training for the sales team, including onboarding curriculum and recurring clinics.
    • Join sales calls and product demos as the resident practice expert; maintain an objection and FAQ library.
    • Partner with sales and account management on major account reviews, diagnosing practice-level issues and workshopping solutions.
  • Product and Voice of the Customer
    • Represent the Texas customer in product and operations workflow development.
    • Serve as subject matter expert and contributes Texas practice knowledge to the evaluation and development of new products and features., including AI-powered tools.
    • Perform user acceptance testing on new releases and document findings.
  • Courts and Local Knowledge
    • Liaise with court clerks, contacting courts to clarify filing and procedural requirements on InfoTrack’s behalf.
    • Maintain internal knowledge of county-level requirements, local rule changes, and clerk practice shifts.
  • Marketing and Community
    • Fact-check marketing and customer support materials on Texas practice.
    • Identify local marketing opportunities: conferences, events, and partnerships with bar, paralegal, and trial lawyer associations.
    • Contribute practitioner content such as webinars, best-practice guides, and help center articles.
  • Customer Education and Support
    • Act as an escalation resource for customer support on Texas practice questions.
    • Help develop customer-facing education and training materials.
  • Strategy
    • Partner with strategic leaders to workshop plans and objectives for growth in Texas.
    • Bring practitioner and market intelligence into strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Four (4) or more years of hands-on experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant in Texas civil litigation. Plaintiff-side experience, such as personal injury or consumer law, strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on eFiling experience across multiple Texas counties through eFileTexas, including familiarity with county-level differences in clerk review, rejection reasons, and citation issuance.
  • Direct experience coordinating service of process, including engaging certified process servers, tracking attempts, reviewing affidavits and returns, and supporting motions for substituted service.
  • Hands-on experience tracking Texas dockets, deadlines, and case status across courts. Experience across more than one Texas metro area preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of Texas trial court structure, clerk practices, and mandatory eFiling mechanics at the county level.
