Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a large team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning
  and professional development.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch) for local
  requirements and expert IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) guidelines for
  international operations.
• Oversee the use, customization, and optimization of NetSuite for all accounting functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income
  statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple subsidiaries.
• Manage and oversee accounting requirements for international operations, ensuring compliance
  with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Ensure proper understanding, calculation, and filing of VAT returns, as well as other relevant tax
  documents.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate regular financial audits and ensure compliance with
  legal regulations and corporate policies.
• Work closely with the VP Finance to develop financial strategies and provide expert advice on
  complex accounting matters.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of accounting
  experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Basic knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and expert knowledge in IFRS.
• Experience in overseeing the consolidation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Prior experience working in a big international setting.
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading large teams.
• Solid understanding of VAT regulations and compliance.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in both English and German.
