Job Purpose
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the National Accounts Manager, Multifamily will develop and sustain long term relationships for mutual growth, profitability, loyalty & innovation with large regional and national multifamily builders and general contractors. The National Accounts Manager will be responsible for building a strategic plan, as well as organizing and deploying appropriate internal resources to drive value co-creation that meets or exceeds LP’s revenue targets. The ideal candidate will identify and qualify opportunities on both a short and long-term basis, develop and drive growth strategies, team-to-team alignment, and executive relationships with cross-functional team members. The National Accounts Manager will conduct strategy sessions and collaborate with field sales to facilitate the co-creation of customer value to ensure ongoing internal alignment and account growth. The National Accounts Manager will function as the central focal point for communications regarding account planning, strategy, resource allocation and customer engagement.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Build and grow strong trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders, supporters, and sponsors.
- Develop and manage key relationships at the senior customer level and demonstrate executive communication skills.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a short term and longer term (one and five-year period).
- Lead solution development efforts that address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
- Achieve assigned sales, volume, and margin expectations within designated strategic accounts.
- Participate in Strategic Account Management certification training and comply with regular training requirements.
- Create compelling business cases to secure new opportunities.
- Attend industry & customer events, expos and trade shows representing LP within the multifamily segment.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous success in managing and executing national opportunities in the multifamily segment is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build trust-based relationships that lead to account sponsors and supporters (both internally/within our organization and externally with customers).
- 7+ years of demonstrated sales and marketing experience, including 2 years of National Accounts management experience preferred; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
