A Day in the Life
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Facilities Supervisor to lead our facilities operations at Affera. This role is crucial in ensuring our facilities are safe, efficient, and conducive to innovation. You will play a key part in fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of facilities management, including maintenance, cleanliness, and security.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of facilities staff, emphasizing professional growth and inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Design and implement effective facilities maintenance programs to optimize operations and reduce downtime.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficient resource allocation and project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity, ensuring all team members feel valued and supported.
Qualifications:
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Functional Skills: Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance, Management Software programs (CMMS), Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, Working knowledge of maintenance operations, administrative services, contract management, security, janitorial, and grounds maintenance, Effective Communication Skills.
