Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for an Operations Excellence – Senior Project Manager I to work at our Ave Maria, FL. Location. The Senior Operations Excellence Project Manager is responsible for teaching, implementing, and assisting management in the application of LEAN methodology to shop-floor, business, and new product introduction processes. This is a First shift, (8:00am-5:00pm), (Monday- Friday)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates Kaizen for shopfloor, business and new product introduction processes utilizing LEAN methodology for systemic and tactical problem solving and rapid improvement.
- Applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in the implementation of process excellence and waste reduction initiatives.
- Drives the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices.
- Understands and actively engages management to ensure the right balance of business and personnel needs are addressed.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization as appropriate to gain and maintain support for initiatives.
Education / Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years in industry required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA)
Knowledge:
- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards.
- Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standard.
- Full knowledge of industry practices.
Reasoning Ability:
- Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Refers to policies and practices for guidance.
Discretion/ Latitude:
- Work is performed under general direction.
- Participates in determining objectives of assignment.
- Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
Skills:
- Knowledgeable of engineering product/process development required.
- Knowledgeable of FDA and ISO guidelines for the development of medical devices
