Job Title: VP, Finance
The VP, ADA Finance, is a critical role and will serve as the number two alongside the CFO in pursuit of achieving ADA’s global strategy and financial goals. This person will communicate and expand ADA’s value proposition to our global partners both internal and external, helping to achieve local and global financial objectives under a unified, global financial strategy.
The successful candidate will be experienced and knowledgeable regarding music distribution finance and a skilled driver of demonstrating relationships and juggling competing priorities on a global scale. This person will be responsible for supporting the CFO with delivery of the annual budget process and will have oversight over financial accounting and analysis, as well as direct management and partnership with Corporate FP&A over review & approval of all new global ADA deals. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the growth and development of a 4-5 person finance team.
This person will partner with the ADA executive team in support of critical initiatives, including exploration of M&A opportunities, product and process integrations, and other ad-hoc projects as required. The successful candidate will also dbuild and maintainrelationships with the global Warner Music Group financial leaders and their teams in support of growing ADA’s presence locally. The candidate should be an entrepreneurial thinker and problem solver, capable of predicting problem areas and deploying solutions in real time.
Here you’ll get to:
● Lead Quarterly/Monthly closes including preparation/approval of various monthly/quarterly close entries. Requires working closely with the Center of Excellence and reviewing various analyses provided to ensure activity is accurately recorded.
● Perform variance and margin analysis to ensure accurate forecasts and resolve causes of fluctuations; Review other variance analysis prepared by finance staff to handle results.
● Analyze and report on ADA’s global financial performance and preparation of recurring financial reporting packages for both financial and non-financial audiences.
● Supervise the end-to-end deal analysis process, including preparation and review of financial models (DCF) for new signings and acquisitions, postmortem analyses, and presentations for C Suite and Board level deal approval processes with Warner Music Group Corporate.
● Continuously analyze, develop, and implement operational improvements for individual and team functions, as required.
● Focus on strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
● Partner with ADA commercial teams in researching new revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyzing internal operations, and identifying areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
