Collins Aerospace is looking to host a transitioning veteran as a Procurement Analyst SkillBridge Fellow where you will gain industry experience supporting commodity managers
This position is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
What You Will Learn During This Fellowship
• Clearly communicate with commodity managers, internal customers, and suppliers
• Ability to prepare, negotiate, and work through RFPs with supplier partners
• Technical acumen and ability to understand drawing specifications and related requirements
• Develop your skill set using Excel, Access and other analytical methodologies
• Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to develop and execute Supply Chain commodity strategies
• Build strong relationships with suppliers
• Organize documentation into a format that can be used for compliance purposes
• Ability to review commodity market and make a fair and reasonable determination
• Works with limited oversight from leadership
• Manage and prioritize several projects at one time
• Clearly communicate project status to leadership
• Negotiate through execution supplier contracts and agreements in support of awarded business
• Analyze data and information to determine reasonable prices with commodity manager assistance
To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements:
• Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
• Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
• Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
• Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Supply Chain or Business Degree preferred
• Experience with wide range of commodities, manufacturing technologies and components from machined, mechanical fabrications, welding, soft goods, leather, fabric, cushions, foam, plastics, composites, engineered items such as restraints
• Government purchasing and/or sourcing experience based on varying government requirements and regulations
• Strong awareness and familiarity of Government Supply Chain practices and Government Commodity Management sourcing practices
• Strong experience with Excel including macros, pivot tables etc. and some Access database and analytics methods preferred
• Supply Chain professional certification(s) such as CPIM, CSCP, CPSM
• Experience with SAP as primary ERP/MRP system
