Job Title: Technical Analyst I, Retail ERP                                                         FLSA: Exempt

Department: Information Technology                                                Revision Date: 10/2024

General Function:

As the Technical Analyst I, Retail ERP, you will work across a dedicated team of product managers, analysts, engineers and business process leads to define product vision, strategy and deliver outstanding experiences that drive business outcomes. You will cultivate relationships with key team members to ensure alignment with departmental/enterprise strategies and create effective workflow processes.

Accountable and Reports to: Director, Retail ERP

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works across functional processes (Retail, Supply Chain/Procurement, Merchandising/Category Management, Finance) to process map business functions, evaluate for efficiencies, identify change and draft current/future state process.
  • Thinks strategically to understand business drivers to define target state solutions.
  • Builds a deep understanding of the Hy-Vee business process and work with the system integrator to become an expert on how those processes will be represented in SAP.
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to define, document, and develop business requirements and translate into technical documentation.
  • Actively notes opportunities for system improvement and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders as needed. 
  • Distill work into user stories/features and act as subject matter expert during development process.
  • Supports solution delivery by coordinating and facilitating the business test planning and test execution by authoring, participating in, and ensuring business sign-off of testing processes.
  • Works independently and provide business direction, guidance, and decisions to development and delivery teams.
  • Ability to use project management principles to ensure efficient management of multiple concurrent efforts and deliver on behalf of project implementation plan that aligns with the company's key business objectives.
  • Log risks, issues, dependencies and decisions against user stories or requirements and document ongoing changes to scope, priority, and requirements.
  • Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1 to 3 years of related experience or equivalent work experience

  • Retail experience is a plus

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Knowledge and experience in agile and scrum development environments.

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to identify impacts and synthesize data from multiple sources

  • Demonstrated self-starter and effective individual contributor

  • Ability to excel and lead in a fast-paced environment while taking on diverse responsibilities

  • Experience with Jira/Confluence, Miro, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Visio & SAP a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
