Job Description
About the Role: The Senior Market Research Manager will be a member of the Oncology Market Analytics team supporting research and analytics for the Guardant Oncology portfolio. The individual will lead primary market research with oncologists and patients, and contribute to comprehensive market analysis including analysis of third-party and internal data to understand customer behavior
Responsibilities:
- Lead primary market research projects, including opportunity assessments, quarterly ATU, positioning & messaging research
- Use primary and secondary data sources to support business case development, market sizing and competitor trends
- Provide operational analyses for in-market indications, including analysis to inform the demand forecast
- Partner with other members of the Analytics team to develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators for available products
Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience with designing and implementing both qualitative and quantitative primary market research projects, including brand tracking, message testing, and positioning research
- Previous experience in either management consulting applied to pharma or biotech, or direct experience in the industry in an analytical role (e.g., Market Research, Marketing Science, Sales Analytics, Payer Strategy) is critical
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for quantitative analysis of data sets
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with secondary claims data is a plus
- Oncology or specialty diagnostics experience is preferred
- Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline with 4 years of relevant experience

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,920 to $136,000 USD. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
