Our diverse community of colleagues are all unified by a shared desire to make a difference in education.</p><p>Turnitin is a global organization with team members in over 35 countries including the United States, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, India, and the Philippines.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are seeking a Security Engineer with a strong foundation in reverse engineering, system internals, and security research.</p><p>The ideal candidate will be adept at dissecting software to identify vulnerabilities, understanding complex systems, and developing tools to mitigate risks. 5 - 8 years of professional experience in security research, reverse engineering, or vulnerability analysis.</p><p>Exceptional candidates with demonstrable expertise (e.g., public research) will be considered regardless of formal experience.</p><p>If you are passionate about uncovering security flaws and developing innovative solutions, we encourage you to apply and join our mission to enhance cybersecurity</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Essential Knowledge/Experience:</p><p>● Reverse Engineering: Analyze and dissect software to uncover vulnerabilities and understand underlying mechanisms.</p><p>● Threat Analysis: Assess and identify potential threats by examining system behaviors and interactions.</p><p>● Tool Development: Create and enhance tools to automate security assessments and improve detection capabilities.</p><p>● Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Information Security teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle.</p><p>● Ethical hacker: Simulate attacks to identify vulnerabilities and find weaknesses to improve security.</p><p>● Documentation: Maintain detailed records of findings, methodologies, and recommendations for improvements.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>● 5–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on system internals and application security.</p><p>● Proven experience in reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis.</p><p>● Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or .NET.</p><p>● Familiarity with disassemblers and debuggers like IDA Pro, Ghidra, or x64dbg.</p><p>● Understanding of operating system internals and low-level system programming.</p><p>● Experience with security tools and frameworks for vulnerability assessment and exploitation.</p><p>● Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.</p><p>Preferred Skills:</p><p>● Experience with Windows and Linux internals.</p><p>● Knowledge of common security protocols and encryption mechanisms.</p><p>● Familiarity with fuzzing techniques and exploit development.</p><p>● Contributions to open-source security projects or personal research publications.</p><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Total Rewards @ Turnitin</strong><br/>
